Welcome to 7th Grade!

Hello, 7th Graders and Families!

I am looking forward to a fun, exciting, and successful school year with all of you.

One of my goals as a teacher is to encourage students to become advocates for their own learning. As students move through 7th grade, I want them to become more independent, think critically, ask questions, and take greater ownership of their education. I will challenge my students to think for themselves while providing the support and guidance they need along the way.

The best way to reach me is by email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

 Assignments & Grades

Students will find their assignments and class materials in Google Classroom. Please remember that grades are not posted in Google Classroom. All grades are entered into PowerSchool, and I encourage parents and guardians to make sure they have access to their child's PowerSchool account so they can monitor their overall progress. I will also provide students with a grade sheet approximately every other week so they can review their progress and see where they currently stand in the class.

At the beginning of the school year, each student and parent/guardian received a copy of the 7th Grade syllabus, which was signed and returned. The syllabus outlines classroom expectations, grading policies, late-work policies, and other important information for the school year.

 Looking Ahead:

We have an exciting year planned, including our 7th Grade field trip in April. I am looking forward to creating some great memories with our students outside of the classroom while continuing to make connections to what we are learning throughout the year.

My Expectations for Our Students:

I have high expectations for my students, and I believe in holding them accountable for meeting those expectations. At the same time, I understand that every student is different and that each child has their own strengths, challenges, and potential. My expectations are not about asking students to be perfect. All I ask is that they try.

My goal is to help each student step outside of their comfort zone, discover their abilities, and recognize the potential that exists within them. Sometimes a student simply needs someone to believe in them and encourage them to step out of the shadows and into the light. I am truly honored to have the opportunity to teach and guide your children this year. I look forward to working together with our students and families to make 7th grade a successful, meaningful, and memorable year.

May God bless you and your family, and I look forward to a wonderful school year!

7TH GRADE — THE CHALLENGE IS ON!

The Holy Cross School Bishop 5K Team is forming, and we want YOU to be part of it!

Our team is being led by our team leader, Mrs. Speed, and I am challenging every 7th grader to join us for the Bishop 5K. Whether you choose to run, jog, or walk, this is a great opportunity to come together as a class, represent Holy Cross, and have some fun!

Race Day: Saturday, November 21, 2026
Location: St. Mark's High School

Our 7th Grade Goal: 100% Participation!

That's right — I am challenging every 7th grader to sign up and be part of our team!

And yes... there is something in it for you!

If we reach 100% 7th grade participation, there will be a KOOL REWARD!

So grab your sneakers, represent Holy Cross, and let's show everyone what the 7th Grade Crusaders can do!

Whether you're an experienced runner or would rather walk the course with your friends, everyone is welcome!

Who's In?

Let's come together as a class, support our Holy Cross community, and HIT 100% PARTICIPATION!
