It was so awesome to meet each and every child and their family on Monday, August 24 during the Supply Drop Off & Meet the Teacher!  

Thanks so much for taking the time to come into the school to visit the classroom and to drop off all the supplies!  We are going to have an 

awesome school year!  Remember to bring your Kindergarten Smile on Thursday!  I will have mine also.

Kindergarten Parent Open House!  September 15th 6pm

Our Kindergarten Parent Open House will be held in our classroom on the first floor of

the elementary building.  Our classroom is located two doors down from the large wooden crucifix and 

the water fountain on the right side.  The room number is 135.  This is a parents only event designed to help you

prepare for the exciting year ahead!  During the evening, you will learn what to expect in Kindergarten, become more

familiar with Holy Cross, and receive important information about classroom routines, expectations, and the

school year.  We kindly ask that children not attend.  Because we will be sharing important information, distributing

paperwork and forms, and taking time to answer questions.  This allows everyone to focus on the presentations and

ensures all questions can be addressed without distractions.  We strongly encourage all parents to attend and make this evening

a priority.  We look forward to meeting you and partnering with you for a wonderful Kindergarten year!

Remind is a great way for us to stay connected through a messaging app similar to text messaging.  I use it to send class-wide announcement and

reminders about school events, tag days, holidays, field trips, and other important classroom updates.  

While parents are welcome to use Remind to communicate with me, I ask that it not be used for last-minute dismissal changes to your child's after-school plans.  

During the school day, and especially at dismissal time, I may not be able to check messages immediately. 

If a message is sent late in the day, there is a chance I will not see it before your child is dismissed.  

To ensure your child's safety, please send any dismissal changes in one of the following ways:

• A written note in your child's folder sent to school that morning
• An email sent during the morning hours
• A phone call to the school office

Please do not rely on Remind for important last-minute messages or emergencies.

Hot lunch orders open on the 5th and close on the 25th of every month for the month ahead!  Right now, lunch orders are open for August and September!  They will close today 8/25.  Every lunch comes with a drink.  You do not need to purchase a drink separately.  You can also just order a drink if your child wants to pack a lunch, but get milk or juice when we go to the cafeteria for lunch.  You can use this link to create an account and place your order.
